Today's Look: Black and White with a Touch of Colour

Hey! Nice to be writing again, believe me, I missed you all. Well to commemorate my arrival I leave you all with this blog post; another of 'Today's Look'! (About time, don't you think?)
So you know that dash touch of colour thingy that's trending now? Yeah, I tried it out; with a touch of orange and it came out beautiful. This look could go for several occasions depending on the personality of the person wearing it. But if you want to look chick simple you'd try this out and thank me later.
Head:  Black and white bandanna topping off the mini-grunge look I was aiming for. You can choose to wear head bands, or turbans depending on the look you're heading for but it's a free spirited look so don't be too serious try to look like you're having fun and enjoying what you're wearing.
Black and white bandanna give bad-ass look!
Top: White Chiffon top graced my  shoulders making me look subtle and feminine; you can try this too or you can just go for a T-shirt but remember you're trying to mono-colour your outfit.
Sleeveless White Chiffon Tee
Bottoms: Now this is where  the colour was introduced with a bright orange flare pleated mini skirt (Yeah, the name's sorta long). The colour felt too bright and shouty for my personality so I mellowed it down with plain black panty-hose (In my case; you can choose patterned if you please). Remember panty-hose also elongates your legs giving you a slimming effect and making you appear taller; it possesses similar functions with high heels.

Patterned Panty-hose if you please....

Feet: I graced my feet with my black and white converse all-stars; you too can do the same or you could go for heels, sandals, shoes anything you feel goes with your choices from the beginning. (Remember; mono-colour).
Converse baby!!!
Accessories: I had a black and white bag conveniently.
I swear it looked  very much like this
Keep looking funky! Trendy by Dirah sayeth such!

Rules are Meant to be Broken: Mysteries of the Front Slit

Hello People and Robots(I do believe they exist and the Governments of the world are lying to us!)
I've been meaning to make a publication of this sort since this became a trend and it's one trend that has resulted in a lot of wrong match-ups and I really feel bad for the future of fashion. (Insert  mourning sad emoji here)
This is the front slit trend which involves more of frontal or side slits than actual center slits. Here's the thing, the first fundamental mystery of the Front slit Swagger is "The Slit cannot be situated at the back" (any other place, side and front-ish, is alright). The front slit comes in different slit types, curved, zipper, wide-open, and the ultimately popular "whorish'.
Side Slit
This involves high-waist short (knee-length)skirts, maxi (down to the ground) skirts, and free penciled-like trousers, Then we have the ever so beautiful maxi dresses or do you choose the shorter ones? It's quite simple to pair these accessories up. The different ways are;
-High-waist skirt with large tops (Preferably tucked in)
-Penciled-like trousers (denim)could go with a simple top and a leather jacket, if you are targeting the grunge look or cooperate Chiffon tops and the like if you are just plain like that. There are also free fitted jeans that reach all the way down to your feet, these can be worn with heels to show of the shoes and elevate you off the ground.
- Maxi skirt, the bloated types with equally bloated tops (could be tucked in depending on the material,View "Rules of the Chiffon Swag") or maxi skirts and fitting shirts.

- Maxi dresses just need great shoes, mostly sandals; they could be heeled or not.
With zipper Slit which could be opened or closed

With open slit that could be worn as cooperate wear
-
With Full Zipper Slit. Most likely worn casual.

The ASOS Maxi Dress with side slit is a killer for tall women. We all can look beautiful.
Sneakers and a sneaky side slit, beautiful and free.

Center slit
This particular fashion statement has a lot involved , it is more popular in the more mundane sense that a front slit should be at the center but many at times it is hard to master. Even the big names in the Entertainment Industry find it hard to master(except, of course, you're Angelina Jolie). Here are a few tips:
- If you must wear Center pleated denim, make sure it is casual even if you choose to wear pumps. or else....(oh well....)
-High-waist Center pleats call for a demarcation of some sort and that's where you choose from large belts to thin belts but there just has to a noticeable demarcation.
Long knee-length denim skirt.
Simple top gives it a casual look.
I hope these pictures help to explain further my point.

Long Denim skirt with boots.
Free wool jacket gives a casual feel
Simple skirt that is pretty cooperate
with large belt separation

Finally, the Double Slit which is exceptionally beautiful with heels, sandals and even boots. No rules here. Look good, Trendy by Dirah says so! Yes, i broke off from my partner and i'm alone now, why don't you ask about it in the comments session?
Button-up shirt gives corporate look of some sort.
Even the heel type matters.

Patterned skirt goes perfectly well with plain.
Also boots give casual look.

This post is way overdue but I finally got in College and I have a lot to do.
Next post would be on NFW 2014, watch out!!!!!!!!
